Guided by the belief that joy is a radical (and effective!) act of leadership, Kadie Black is on a mission to make the world a better place.
As a champion for change, Kadie Black serves as the President & CEO of Voices For Children Foundation, dedicating her efforts to ensuring that youth in foster care are seen, supported and surrounded by a community that refuses to let them fall through the cracks. She is known for leading with authenticity, humor, compassion, and an unwavering belief that everyone deserves to dream beyond their circumstances.
Before helming Voices, she served several critical organizations in Miami and New York City, including Foster Care Review, Our Kids, Casa Valentina and Kristi House, and has been a lifelong supporter of the Guardan ad Litem program. “Kindness is compound interest because every gesture grows into something bigger than we can ever measure,” she says. “Small acts of love can change the trajectory of a life.”
She brings that philosophy into every room she enters, reminding others that courage and generosity are powerful forces for good. When it comes to her legacy, it’s all about inspiration. “Choosing to build a life committed to purpose over perfection has been the best decision I have ever made,” she says. “I hope people remember me in the tiny moments of joy: a passing bubble, a fluttering butterfly, a beautiful rainbow reflected through glass,” she says. “These moments showcase the kind of impact I hope to have on the world.”; BeAVoice.org.
