A national nonprofit is proving that clothing can be more than fabric. Clothing Across America operates as a conduit between manufacturers and nonprofit human service agencies, delivering brand-new clothes and personal care items to organizations free of charge. Its network spans shelters serving the homeless, abuse victims, veterans, single mothers and youth, along with clothing banks and emergency relief organizations. The impact runs deeper than bridging the gap many agencies cannot fill alone. There's also a shift that occurs when we wear certain clothing, changing how we see ourselves and, in turn, how the world sees us; ClothingAcrossAmerica.org.
